The Lighthouse is a good place to eat at a reasonable price. The service is great and the owners are cool. Two thumbs up. Thanks to modern printing, logos are not restricted to one or two colors as in the past.

Scalded Dog, that's hot. Cartoons are all about line quality. A cartoon line in vector art has to be treated as an object. It can get very confusing. Cartoons have to look simple and whimsical. This is where starting with a pencil sketch really pays off.

Merican was started as a think tank for developing industrial ideas. I envisioned ideas floating to the surface in the form of pearls. Pearls of wisdom.

Merican eventually became a distributer of industrial equipment. I played on the patriotic angle. A few years later they tried to take the star off because people were confusing the name to be American.
It didn't work. It looked horrible. The star is back where it belongs.

Some logos come easy. This one took about two hours to do.

RHM needed a brochure. I suggested they needed a logo also. This was made using the lettering style from the original logo with the oval and color added. They liked it.
