JLM Wholesale is a good example of many businesses
that are out there but never heard of. The truth is they don't care if
you ever hear about them. They cater to a very minute industry that we
all take for granted. Any time you walk into a grocery store and the door
automatically swings open, your passing by parts from JLM. When the door
doesn't open, the store manager calls the local expert to fix it. The
experts call JLM for parts. There are thousands of makes and types of doors
out
there. It can be a nightmare to find replacement parts.
The owners goal was to fortify his strong position in the market by
producing a book containing everything you want to know about door equipment
and accessories. He wanted a uniform method of ordering. Every item would
have ample space devoted for all the technical information available.
The challenge was to convert product information from hundreds of different
manufacturers into a common language.
The following pages are a small sampling of over five hundred pages produced
for this project.
