As 5G Advanced (5G-A) and AI technologies continue to converge, SUNCOMM has officially launched its latest AI CPE solution, powered by the Qualcomm® 4th Generation Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) Platform. The device integrates the Qualcomm X85 5G modem and RF system, combining 48 TOPS of local edge AI with cloud-based large model support, offering users a new generation of smart, high-speed connectivity.

"We're not just adding AI to a router—we're creating a next-gen platform that delivers both real-time intelligence and 10Gbps-class performance,"
---said the SUNCOMM product lead.
The AI CPE supports the latest 3GPP Release 18 protocol and leverages Qualcomm's 5G-A and Wi-Fi 7 technologies. With 6CC carrier aggregation and up to 400MHz of bandwidth, it delivers peak download speeds of 12.5Gbps and uplink speeds up to 3.7Gbps. For users, this translates into faster streaming, quicker downloads, and better real-time collaboration—even in high-density areas.
On the Wi-Fi side, the device supports tri-band (2.4GHz / 5GHz / 6GHz) and Wi-Fi 7 MLO (Multi-Link Operation), reaching wireless throughput up to 12Gbps. A 4x4 MIMO antenna array and EasyMesh R4 compatibility ensure seamless, low-latency connections for every device in the home or office.
A unique strength of this product lies in its antenna system. SUNCOMM has developed an intelligent antenna direction recognition algorithm that allows real-time switching to the optimal 5G directional antenna. With up to 13dBi gain per antenna, coverage increases by over 30% compared to traditional omnidirectional solutions. Even in weak-signal zones, the Qualcomm-supported 8Rx configuration ensures strong and stable links.
It also supports practical features like dual SIM dual standby, NFC tap-to-connect, VoNR/VoWiFi calling, and remote app-based management—ideal for homes, remote offices, surveillance setups, or mobile clinics.
Unlike traditional routers, this AI CPE includes local processing power up to 48 TOPS. This enables advanced features like on-device voice recognition, image analysis, and semantic understanding. Thanks to a hybrid architecture—edge AI + cloud model—the unit can run large models such as DeepSeek and LLaMA, supporting use cases like smart home automation, personalized voice control, and privacy-aware surveillance.
The device also supports continual model tuning and local learning, with built-in privacy encryption layers, offering users secure, on-device intelligent services—without relying on constant cloud access.
SUNCOMM's newly developed “Intelligent Acceleration Engine” utilizes Qualcomm's AI features to optimize network configuration in real time. This helps reduce traditional network response from 100ms down to the millisecond level—making it ideal for cloud gaming, 4K live streaming, and interactive conferencing, where every millisecond matters.
The device is more than a gateway. It can act as a central AI hub across various use cases:
l Voice Assistant: Integrated edge voice engine with 5G cloud access enables fast and responsive voice command processing.
l Smart Home Control: Supports the Matter protocol and can link with hundreds of IoT devices, adapting automatically to environmental changes.
l Enterprise Edge Node: Deployable as an edge computing endpoint, ideal for industries like manufacturing, healthcare, and retail.

“We're seeing growing demand for edge AI, intelligent routing, and ultra-low-latency performance. Our latest CPE reflects that direction.”
---said SUNCOMM's Chief Technology Officer.
With this launch, SUNCOMM not only demonstrates its capability to deliver cutting-edge wireless and AI integration, but also reinforces its long-term commitment to innovation. Moving forward, SUNCOMM will continue collaborating with Qualcomm and other leading partners to bring intelligent, connected solutions to global markets—empowering users with smarter, faster, and more secure digital experiences.
